The Federation of Korean Associations, S.E. U.S.A is one of 8 regional associations organized around several Korean Consulate Generals located in the United States. We overlook and unite variety of leaders of 27 local Korean Associations in NC, SC, GA, AL, and TN states.
Welcome!
My name is John Choi (최병일) and I am the president of The Federation of Korean Association S.E. U.S.A. It is such a joy to see our newly designed website launching after hard work of long-term planning and preparation from our young next-generation group.
More than 2.7 million Korean-Americans are living in the United States and 160 local Korean Associations have been established to guide their life. Those local Korean Associations are currently organized in 8 separate group centered around the Korean Consulate-Generals located throughout the United States. The Federation of Korean Associations, S.E. U.S.A are one of the 8 organizations.
The Federation of Korean Associations, S.E. U.S.A overlooks and unite variety of leaders of 27 local Korean Associations in NC, SC, GA, AL, and TN states. Our association is headquartered in North of Metro Atlanta, specifically in Duluth, Gwinnett County.
As a non-profit organization, we are actively participating in the mainstream society for its unity and fellowship. We also put our purpose in serving Korean-Americans and local Korean Associations to protect our rights, interests, well-being, and promote cultural exchange and amity between Korea and the United States.
The Federation of Korean Associations, S.E. U.S.A was organized back in 1980 and since 1981, we have been hosting one of the biggest Korean events in the U.S.A: The Korean American Southeastern Summer Olympics annually. The goal of this festival is to bring harmony between first- and second-generation Korean immigrants and pass down our culture and identity to future generations.
We are currently doing our best in preparation for next 40th Korean American Southeastern Summer Olympics planned to be held on June 10th – 11st, 2022. Again, it is one of the biggest Korean events held in the United States and we are proud of it.
We hope that this website shall provide information exchange and communication between local Korean Associations in Southeastern U.S and allow us to become better organization serving our community.
Thank you for your cooperation and guidance.
The Federation of Korean Associations, S.E. U.S.A
John Choi, Federation President
